Cheyenne - Gunshots Heard, Bullets Found

Cheyenne (Cheyenne Police Dept) -- On May 4, 2008 at approximately 12:30 p.m. officers of the Cheyenne Police Department were dispatched to 706 Stanfield in regards to the residents finding bullet holes in the house. Investigation found that at approximately 1:30 a.m. the occupants, Pete Gonzales and Ida Carabajal, heard possible gunshots in the area. Gonzales checked on the children that were sleeping in the living room and observed broken glass in a display case. Gonzales and Carabajal did not see or hear anything outside and went back to bed. At approximately 12:30 p.m., two bullet holes were found in the front door and two bullet holes were found on the side of the house. Police were then notified of the incident. The two bullets fired into the front door penetrated into the room and broke the glass in the display case. The two bullets that struck the side of the house did not penetrate the house. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
