He believes taking that oil off the market pushes up gas prices, but opponents say the Reserve is needed for national emergencies. What do you think? 2) Senators McCain and Clinton want to stop collecting the federal gas tax over the summer to help lower gas prices. Senator Obama says the savings will not amount to much, and there are no guarantees that prices will not rise anyway. Opponents say states should not manufacture and sell items with religious symbols on them.
